French Paper Company has been manufacturing paper for more than 150 years in Niles, Michigan. French Paper has persevered for all these years by listening to our customers to become one of the strongest, smartest, and most consistent paper brands around. From our original mill to today's advanced paper, we've come a long way, and we'll keep evolving to serve discerning customers like you.
French Paper Hydroelectric Mill
In 1922, French Paper Company had the foresight to invest in hydropower generators. That decision has allowed us to conserve more than 1,000,000 barrels of fossil fuels and avoid the release of 700,000 tons of carbon dioxide emissions over the last century. Additionally, our hydroelectric generators create surplus sustainable energy that is distributed to the local community.
We have a long legacy of leading the paper industry in sustainability, and our team is fully committed to continuing what we started a century ago.
Sustainable Paper Products
When French introduced Speckletone in 1955, we were the first to imagine that a recycled sheet of paper could be beautiful – and we never looked back.
French offers paper products that are:
- Soy ink compatible
- Post-consumer waste
